Carol Eckert, Retired from Toronto Board of Education and mother of a son with Huntington's disease in a long term care facility.

Summary:

Within the presentation, the complexities of caring for someone with Huntington disease (HD) will be explored, including a summary of the disease, it’s common symptom presentation and how these symptoms can create care challenges for everyone. Carol will share her personal account of her family's journey coping with HD.
